STORY
Every evening after work, Michael sank onto the locker room bench, sighing as he pried off his clunky safety shoes. His feet ached from hours of standing and rushing in the workshop—though the shoes met safety standards, they felt like a heavy burden.
Desperate for a better option, Michael turned to his designer friend Tommy, who excels at solving unmet needs. “I want safe shoes that’re also comfortable, light, and not a chore to wear,” he said. Tommy visited Michael’s workplace to learn about workers’ struggles, then spent a year tweaking materials, adjusting fits, and testing prototypes until he gave Michael a sample that lit up his eyes.
The first day Michael wore the new shoes, his feet no longer ached, and he moved easily even during busy shifts. Coworkers swarmed him for the shoes, making both realize this solved a universal need for workers.
They teamed up to launch a business, promising safety shoes tailored to real work scenarios. Naming the brand VPROTX (short for “We protect you!”), they aim to turn heavy burdens into light, reliable protection, guarding workers’ feet step by step.
